Personal Peace Procedure.  How to use this technique when you are new to EFT

I am listing the Personal Peace Procedure because it is a very powerful EFT technique that can produce life changing results.  It is something that anyone can apply to themselves, little by little, to unload years and years of stress and pain.

The ideal situation would be to seek the help of a qualified EFT Practitioner or to  study EFT completely  before self-applying the Personal Peace Procedure.

EFT is comprised of numerous techniques and components  which when applied skillfully to The Personal Peace Procedure, will provide the quickest and and the longest lasting / permanent relief.

However, many people find EFT at a point in their lives when they are overwhelmed and desperate.  Things are falling apart for them and they are experiencing depression, anxiety, panic attacks, physical pain etc. They want "immediate" relief and they do not have the time or energy to study EFT first.   For this reason, I am listing a few simple ways in which anyone can apply this technique even if they are completely new to EFT.   This will allow them to begin feeling some relief to their problems rather quickly..

This is also something I recommend to many of my existing clients  as it allows them to move more quickly through their problems and to save money by needing fewer sessions.  Although, I am able to give them more specific and individualized instructions once we have a session or two.

EXCEPTION:
Do NOT Perform The Personal Peace Procedure on your own if you suffer from PTSD., are a war veteran, have experienced sexual of physical abuse, or have experienced any type of strong traumatic situations.    Under these conditions, it is recommended that you work with an experienced and qualified EFT practitioner.   If you wish to do this on your own, then You MUST, at least,  study EFT fully and completely before attempting to perform EFT on yourself.

I have broken this process down into two parts.

1. Make a list of every bothersome specific event you can remember. If you can’t find at least 50 you’re probably not trying. Many people find hundreds.

2. While making your list, you may find that some events don’t seem to cause you current discomfort. List them anyway. The fact that you remembered them suggests they need to be more fully resolved.

3. Give each specific event a title–as though it were a mini-movie. Again, be specific. Examples: I stole Joe’s sandwich. I nearly slipped and fell into the Grand Canyon. Mrs. Smith told me was stupid. Mom locked me in a closet for two days. My third grade class laughed at my science speech.

4. When the list is complete, pick out the most bothersome specific movies. Apply EFT to each one until you either laugh about the incident or just can’t think about it anymore. Be sure to keep after each event until its intensity is at a zero. Then apply EFT to the next worst movie, and so on.

5. Do at least one movie (specific event) per day–preferably three. It only takes minutes per day. If you keep at it for three months, you will have resolved 90 to 270 specific events. You will notice how your body feels better. Maybe your blood pressure is decreased and your breathing is easier. Note how your “threshold for getting upset” is much lower. And how your relationships are better and your “therapy issues” don’t seem to be there anymore. Revisit some of those specific events and notice how previously intense movies have faded into nothingness.

Gary asks you to consciously notice these things because, unless you do, the quality healing you will have undergone will seem so subtle that you may not notice it. You may even dismiss it saying, “Oh, well, it was never much of a problem anyway.” This happens repeatedly with EFT and thus he brings it to your awareness.

6. If you are taking medications, you may feel the need to discontinue them. Please do so ONLY under a qualified physician’s advice.

A few minutes a day will make a monumental difference in your work performance, relationships, health and your quality of life. But only if you put the idea into practice.

Positive Side Effects

As you work through the events from your past in order of intensity, you may not be zeroing in right away on the exact causes of the issue from which you most want relief. However, there will be positive results along the way, and if you notice them, you will know that personal peace is starting to emerge in your life.

EFT results, no matter how we find them, are sometimes very subtle, and it is easy to overlook them or attribute them to your natural growth process. To help us see the changes as they are happening, it’s time to make a second list – one for anything in your life that could stand some improvement. Common examples are as follows:

  • Sleeping habits - quality of sleep or hours per night

  • Eating habits – junk food cravings, vegetable intake, sugar or dessert habits

  • Other Cravings – coffee, cigarettes, wine/beer

  • Level of stress related to work

  • Frustration in traffic

  • Relationships - spouse, children, in laws, relatives, co-workers

  • Muscle tension or pain/Flexibility

  • Blood Pressure

  • Breathing capacity

  • Eyesight

  • Memory

  • Stamina

  • Confidence

  • Propensity to laugh or smile

Anything in your life can start changing for the better as you clear out the old disruptions. Once you have your “wish list” for any positive changes that you would welcome, find a way to evaluate each one before you start tapping. Maybe you write down the hours of sleep you are getting on average, or the cups of coffee you have each day, length of time you can be on your feet without pain, or the level of frustration/emotional pain (0-10) that you feel in any particular relationship.

As you tap through your events, keep checking in with this list and keep track of all the items. Some may shift right away, others may improve later, and you may notice other positive changes that weren’t even on the list. By using both of these lists in tandem, it is much easier to keep going with a process that may be on the longer side for some people.

Can you imagine what it would feel like to truly be at peace with everything that has ever happened in your life? How about being at peace with half of it? Even that would make an enormous difference for most people. Imagine how different the world would be if everyone cleared out the garbage from their past. Not only would we all feel better physically and emotionally, we would be able to understand each other and feel compassion without all of the issues in the way.

Thoughts on Other Uses Of The EFT Personal Peace Procedure

The EFT Personal Peace Procedure here is NOT a substitute for quality EFT training nor is it a substitute for quality help from a skillful EFT practitioner or qualified physician. Rather, it is a Tapping tool that, properly applied, is capable of wide ranging relief (quality training or quality assistance will add to its effectiveness). Its simplicity and far reaching effectiveness give it candidacy as a mandatory method for anyone seeking help for even the most difficult of problems.

It may be used:

  • As "homework" between sessions with a physician or therapist. This is certain to accelerate and deepen the healing process.

  • As a daily Tapping procedure to clear out a lifetime of accumulated emotional debris. This can enhance self-image, reduce self-doubt and provide a profound sense of freedom.

  • As a means to eliminate a major contributor (if not the sole cause) of a serious disease. Somewhere within one's Specific Events are those angers, fears and traumas that are manifesting as disease. By addressing them all, you will likely cover those responsible for the disease.  Always consult qualified physicians regarding your use of EFT for physical issues.

  • As a useful substitute for finding core issues. If you neutralize all the specific issues you will have automatically included core issues.

  • As a means for consistent relaxation.

  • To become an example to others as to what is possible.

A few minutes per day with the EFT Personal Peace Procedure can make a monumental difference in school performance, relationships, health and our quality of life.  We hope this common sense Tapping process becomes a worldwide routine.

PART - 2

S
imple ways in which you can begin using this procedure right away,
even if you are new to EFT.

1.  Learn the tapping points.

2. Pick an event that you can connect with emotionally.   One that makes you feel emotional pain or physical pain.  The more intensely you can connect the more  you will release and the better you will feel afterward.

Emotional Pain
( crying, anger, sadness, loss, frustration, fear, worry, overwhelmed, etc. )

Physical Sensations:
( back pain, knee pain, headache, sciatica, etc.   nausea, tightness in your chest, stomach, head, etc.  Basically any physical sensation that feels bad.

3. As you are feeling these things, tap on all the meridian points until the these feelings /sensations lessen and lessen and finally dissipated.

Tips #  1 :
The stronger the feelings / sensations that you tap on the bigger the release /relief.
If you want to connect More Intensely, Close your Eyes as you focus on these painful memories and continue tapping.

If it
Gets Too Intense  for you, keep tapping but distract yourself:

Open your Eyes
,
get up and go to the window,   count the the trees or cars outside.

If you are not able to move,   remain seated and count the tiles on your floor, or the number of decorations in the room, etc.

The point is to make sure your ( EYES are OPEN ) and you  ( Distract Yourself  )  by taking your attention to something present in the room or outside the window.  Continue tapping.

If you keep your  ( Eyes Closed  ),   you will   ( Tune in More Deeply )   to what you are feeling.  Remember to keep tapping continuously while you are doing this.

Tips #  2 :
If you can study  EFT in its entirety, you will benefit even more from the Personal Peace Procedure.

 Tips #  3 :
It is important for you to pick the right time and place to do this. You must have complete privacy.

Pick a time when you:
- can have complete privacy
- can stay home and relax afterward and not have to head out to work or an event.
- will not be rushed or interrupted and have to stop abruptly
- can turn off your phone

REMEMBER:
Do NOT Perform The Personal Peace Procedure on your own if you suffer from PTSD., are a war veteran, have experienced sexual of physical abuse, or have experienced any type of strong traumatic situations.    Under these conditions, it is recommended that you work with an experienced and qualified EFT practitioner.   If you wish to do this on your own, then You MUST, at least,  study EFT fully and completely before attempting to perform EFT on yourself.
